The clients not only caught their first ever Northern pike but several pike and bigger and bigger and some Bass too. It was a great day of chucking and winding and netting and laughing. It’s great to clients and fathers and sons having a great day on the water. The memories will last a life time.

Fished the Midwest Kayak Bass Club tournament on Fox Lake. Spent the majority of the day throwing the shallow hybrid hunter in less than 5 feet of water over the submerged grass. A Senko also got bites by tossing around patches of Lilly pads

These guys caught some huge largemouth in the weeds. If it was a tournament their best 5 went 19lbs and they managed this in less then two hours. Once the sun came out the bite slowed way down. They did a great job and had a great trip.

Targeted largemouth and had good success in the morning ripping bladed jigs, crank baits, and swim jigs through holes in the grass in 2-4 feet of water. Fish fed aggressively early in the morning between 5-7am, and the bite continued through the afternoon, but the amount of action definitely tapered off. My biggest 5 fish went 86” and my biggest fish weighed in at 3.64 lbs.

The weather was interesting to say the least, it delayed our departure time but 4 hours and another front was supposed to come through. His determination payed off and we made the right deduction to fish as most people would have just canceled.

This father and son and another son had a great day on Fox. It was overcasty and there were bugs swimming on the surface so I recommend buzzbaits and they grinded and caught many fish. They had a great day.

This was yet another hot day and the fish were scattered so these clients were chucking spinnerbaits to points and lay downs and we just covered water until they found some nice sized largies. His face says it all, to hate being outfished by your girlfriend.
