Water temperatures warmed up a little. Got one on a point with a chatter bait. Missed a couple bites with the chatterbait so I switched over to a squarebill and caught another before I had to leave.

Found fish tight to cover after the rain. Kept getting snagged with anything that wasn't rigged weedless.

Topwater did well around laydowns on points, especially around the islands. Was a quick morning trip. 3 bass were caught using topwater, all hit hard with no short strikes, and one was caught on a wacky rigged Senko thrown near the base of the laydown.

Fish were aggressive so I threw around a couple of different rats. Both the bull rat and the spro rat 30. Both did well. Most were tight to cover but a couple were off the bank on a slight drop off.

Visibility was low in the water as usual. Caught 5 bass in a couple hours on a chatterbait fished around some laydowns and a caffeine shad. Bass seemed to be tight to cover despite the rain beginning and it being an overcast day.
