At the time of the bass opener, water Temps are still cold, but rising quickly. Largemouth are best targeted with a Vision 110 jerkbait. Extremely long pauses (up to 10 seconds sometimes) after a single twitch may be needed to produce strikes. Damiki blade baits are also a must have while the water is still frigid. A slow retrieve with intermittent "pops" will trigger reaction strikes in the coldest water.
