FInd where the green cabbage meets the pencil reeds, they were stacked in the points and corners. Jackhammer with a speed craw did most of the damage, picked up a few more with a senko. Tons of fish, some places it would be 20-30 fish spots nearly coming on every cast.

Fishing the pencil reed/cabbage transitions for staging fish. The more green the vegetation, the more fish that were present. Had to cover water, but fish were usually grouped up once you found them.

It was a really hot day outside and all the fish were pushing back up into the shallow mats looking for shade. I was casting into the open pockets with a jackhammer and reeling it very close up to the surface. They would come out from the grass and eat it. We were on the very west side by the road.
