water temperatures were in the low 50's, the lake was WAYY down on water level, but was able to get bit in the grass by the marina and every bite was a quality large mouth that had to pull out from the backs of the creek that were dry at the time.

1/4 oz jighead and the little Rage swimmer was the most productive bait last week. We fished Nov. 28-Dec. 3. Water temps. 55-57, turnover was going on. The bait has not started moving to the backs of the creeks yet, it should happen anytime now. Smallies were killing it in about 20 feet suspended over 30 feet just slow rolling it. Had one over 21" (5.4lb). Points and chunk rocks we threw 1/2 Picasso football jigs in GP and Cumberland Craw with SK Rage Craw and Berkley Maxscent Creature Hawg were the trailers. Sunline Shooter 8lb on spinning gear for the swimbaits and 15lb Seaguar Invizx for the jigs.

Had a solid day at Dale Hollow on an early November weekend. All of my fish came on a Ned rig or small finesse jig. I targeted steep bluff banks and backs of pockets in the 10-20ft range. I didn’t see a whole lot of bait graphing so I finessed areas that typically hold fish. I ended up catching 3 smallmouth and a big 20.25” largemouth.

I caught a couple of smallmouth my first day down at Dale Hollow on pea gravel banks with a blade bait and a Ned rig. The next day I found a productive pocket fishing brush and man made fish attractors with a jig and a jerk bait.

Launching out of Holly Creek, bite was slow, but picked up more as you got to the main lake points near the river channel. Picked up this one and a cpl decent largemouth working the Sexy Dawg over 12'-15' water near the points. Had some short strikes, a few jig bites, but topwater seemed to get the most quality fish. Lost an absolute unit of a smalljaw right at the kayak a cpl days later, that was made worse with it swimming off with my most productive lure. Water was slowly cooling off, so bite should be getting good soon.
