Fished the WKFC tournament and caught 7 bass during a high pressure day. Size was hard to find but number were not, between prefishing and the tournament I caught 24 bass. I also caught a 38 inch Muskie and a 26 inch Northern. Fun lake but don't bother looking for your next PB.

Fish the Wisconsin kayak fishing club tournament Saturday June 18th. Water temperatures average between 69 to 71°. Started the morning fishing the Eastern shore shady shallow water with the Zman Finesse Coppertreuse ned rig. This produced lots of bass but no size to them. After a few hours of finding fish with no size I decided to move areas and switch to the Big bite baits craw tube and green pumpkin. Still catching plenty of fish and the size went up a few inches. Then tried the Big bite baits craw tube in the hematoma color and results were about the same fish anywhere between 12 to 15 in. This was all deep side of weed edges anywhere between 10 to 15 ft of water. Went back shallow and switched to the Ned rig and green pumpkin. This is when my size is picked up just enough to give me a good finish in the tournament. Fourth place out of 30 anglers. Try these lures and hook combos and move around once you find the fish you'll have regular and steady action. Tight lines and God bless.

Caught my first bass on the Z-Man Project Z Weedless 3/8" Black/Blue Chatterbait with a Keitech Fat Swing Impact paddle tail. The bite got light by the docks, so I went finesse and down sized to the 4" Gary Yamamoto Baby Bass Senko. That was the ticket. 3 large mouths and a smallie in an hour!

Took some buddies out after a week of summer classes and were able to catch a fully mixed bag of largies, smallies, and crappies. This lake is great to catch numbers of fish by far but rare to catch any size besides for the crappies. Everything would eat the small swimbaits or crappie jigs under a slip bobber.

Skipping wacky rigs under docks today was the deal. Caught a lot of smaller males that seemed to be guarding beds but with the wind it was hard to see beds. Cuaght about 20 largies and one surprise 3lb smallie.
