Hit the river and flipped banks. A few bed fish but very hard to see because water clarity is so bad. Pre-spawn is in full effect and they are getting to the back of pockets. Main creek arms look for flooded cover and get in deep. We also had some success with red and black hybrid hunters. Throw them on the bank and bring them back out fast hitting everything you can.

Fishing Ray Hubbard in the winter, I always target specific rock points all across the lake. Hopping from spot to spot if I’m not getting bit within 15-18 minutes is key in finding out what depth and area they are at. Working a crank bait along rocks and rip rap is the perfect way to find them in the cold months of this lake as they will hug those rocks to find warmth.

Pitching into pockets in the reeds. Go early since the wind stirs up mud as the day goes on, that killed the bite.
