First crankbait fish that I've caught in years! Being primarily a bank fisherman, it's just not something I throw often because I would get hung up and lose them so much that I got tired of throwing away money. In this case, I used it as it was meant to be used, deflecting off some rocks and silty bottom and that was what drew the strike!

I'm so glad I learned to fish the dropshot. While it may be boring at times, it just gets bit when nothing else will! Roboworm is where it's at, I either throw Margarita Mutilator or some kind of natural bait fish color. I use 6th Sense dropshot hooks because they're strong and light wire. I use cheap lead bass casting dropshot weights though because I lose a lot of dropshot rigs and tungsten got to be too expensive to lose.

My new PB! 5 pounder out of a small local pond. Caught on a Zoom Super Fluke on a Harmony Fishing swim bait hook. She slammed it right up against shore just as I was about to pull it out of the water.

I don't ever throw spinnerbaits but the wind was gusting 30 knots so I had to try. First cast this guy hit it so hard he tried to swallow it and the hook missed his eye by a fraction of an inch. Had a couple other hits but no hookups.
