Docks
The north bay docks are great. Skip a jig or senko style bait to the furthest back shaded parts of the docks, take many cracks at it though, fish can be finicky and may pass on the bait several times before biting. But they are there. You can also back off the docks and fish the weedline in front of the docks.. follow your electronics and flip to the edge with your favorite soft plastic/tungsten or jig. You can pick up key fish in this bay. The entry to this mouth of this bay leading back into the main lake is a worth while stop for some offshore fishing as well.

Docks
Coon can be a hit or miss, but when it is on - it is a very fun lake. One of the easier fishing techniques out there is burning or jerking bladed jigs around dock pilings, outside of the reeds, or in shallow areas in 3-6 ft outside of docks. If you can't find success with this technique I would move out to the deeper weed lines in 12-19ft with a jig or texas rig and soak it hard and long for the big bites.

Submerged Vegetation
After the spawn the largemouth start to move back out to deeper water. Target weed lines in the 10-15ft range, looking for milfoil or coontail as the primary vegetation. Using drop shots and neko rigs will produce a number of bites in this area. It may take time to locate them but they will start to school up and you can catch a lot of bass in a hurry if you find them.

Submerged Vegetation
During the last few weeks in May some bass are spawning and others are done. With water in the 60-65 degree range, target bass in the shallow weed flats with a chatterbait. Look for bedding flats located in shallow bays usually 2-6ft deep with sparse vegetation and hard bottom. If you can find the beds the bass will be near. Cover a lot of ground in these bays and flats and you should have a decent day with the chatterbait as the main lure of choice. Switching to a swim jig if the weeds are dense and the chatterbait is getting hung up can help get a few more bites. You can also throw a spinnerbait in this situation as well if you are more comfortable with that over a swim jig and a chatterbait.

Shoreline grass seems to be affected by chemical treatments. Healthier grass appears to be growing in 8-14' off the bank, fish seem to be holding in these edges and were eating finesse presentations (ned, dropshot). Fish also seem to be holding up under docks in VERY skinny water. Dock fish were biting wacky Senko's and Texas rigs skipped into the dark area's. Fish have also been caught running chatter baits in clean water near the big reed island on the west lake.
