Bass were still finicky this afternoon. Took a lot of work to find em. Tried different presentations but most fish were caught on the jackhammer. The ones caught came very shallow. Didn't exactly hammer them today, but it was a beautiful fall day to be out fishing!

The bite was pretty slow tonight. Most vegetation has died off. I got into a few pike earlier on. It wasn't until after dark that the bass turned on. Had the best luck slow rolling the jackhammer shallow along the bank.

I was hoping for a few bass after work but all I came across today were pike. Even they were pretty sparse with the water getting so cold. They were after the chatterbait.

Not going to win any tournaments with my bag today. 😅 Fish were just not having it. Clear skies and muddy water. Had to put in work for each bite. It was clear that finesse was the way to go today with the wacky rig producing the best.

Sunny day and very warm. Slight breeze. Found many spots where the fish were piled up but it took effort to get them to strike. A bit later in the day, they turned on a little more and I caught a couple nice bass on the jackhammer (including the 3lb bass in the photo).

Got an hour in after work today. Very windy. Had a little action by using a weightless texas rigged trick stick. Throw on the edge of grass mats, twitch and let sink. Usually will get bit on the fall.
