Decided to use some live shiners today for fishing. Thought it might be nice to actually feed the fish for.once since I was going to be catching them. It's been difficult fishing lately so I wanted to ensure a catch.

This one fought like a bass! Smashed my Strike King Bitsy Minnow on the pause after an erratic retrieve.

The top water bite is here! Was trying different walking speeds to entice the bite. Out in open water, following a fast/erratic walk I paused the lure and the fish hit it about 1 seconds later. Only a 1.25# fish but biggest of the day.

First time ever throwing a Neko rig. Used spear point dropshot hooks and a bass pro squirmin worm with a tungsten nail weight. Just hopped it along the bottom slowly and felt this little guy pick it up. I also threw this on top of a large female sitting on a bed and she took it. Fought her for about 15 seconds but was using too light of tackle and she spit the hook.

First cast caught this male, the spawn is here, lots of males and females sitting on beds. He gutted it but I was able to carefully remove it by going up through the gill plate and he went on to continue chasing other fish away. Still can't get the 5# female though...she's smart!

Couple small ones fishing BFS throwing the Bitsy pond minnow. Tried out the Shimano Mastiff 6# Fluoro for a leader. Super strong! Got hung in the grass on 3 of the 4 and didn't break off, was able to pull through and rip the fish out. Really like this fluorocarbon!
