We had a cold snap a couple days before which dropped the water temp back down a few degrees. Fish were still moving around some but not as active as earlier in the week. Different sized a rigs slow reeling in creek channels/points, and around structure snagged most of the fish. The biggest fish of the day came on the Aruku shad, steady reeling on the bottom between a dock and some brush. It’s steadily ramping up for spawn, just taking a bit longer because of the extended winter weather.

Fish are starting to move around now that it’s warming up some. Most of the fish were around secondary points off brush piles. A rigs slow rolling over fish and dragging lipless cranks were the two ways we managed to get the fish to react before the wind picked up too much.

Found some fish earlier in the morning up shallow <2-3’ of water on small crankbaits but they kept throwing the hooks. Shallow bite died off and weather switched up to windy on the main lake so tried the A rig on some main lake points and started to get fish chasing it. Finally got this one to commit off the front of a dock in the afternoon.
