Early May, water temps 54-57F, Partly Sunny & Cloudy mix. wind 5-10mph. Best fish located in weedy bays where bass are moving to spawn, but they are holding in 2-5ft in patch green weeds adjacent to hard bottom and pad stem areas. Slow roll swim jigs and chatterbait / bladed jig style baits in Black Blue & Green Pumpkin for best results. Likely to get some nice Bonus Northern Pike at the same time.

Last outing of the year with air temps around 28 degrees, brutally cold! Jerkbait bite was still on fire - caught them around steep rock banks and last of the submerged grass.

Trolling a spoon along the cabbage edge in 8-10 FOW will produce numbers of quality fish. The bluegills and crappies are actively spawning in the open and try to troll through or next to these schools to scatter them. This will provoke the larger fish to feed and bite your bait. Hotbait is the Big Game Doctor Spoon in Sucker/Gold Pattern

Went out for a few hours today. Wind was whipping pretty good so I fished the south end. Bass are on beds. I just fan casted all shorelines with a swim jig and picked off a few. Also caught a couple on docks with a wacky rig.
