Keep moving and grinding focusing on the longer main lake points making multiple casts and presentations. Red craw colors work great as well.

I caught 10 spotted bass with 7 being keepers. I was targeting points and steep rock bluff walls and banks. Bass were in areas with a short transition from shallow to deep water. Catching fish in 15-25ft. I was mid strolling a Yamamoto Scope Shad.

My first time on this lake, so I was doing some exploring. As usual, after trying many different things, I eventually got to my faithful Texas Rig, and the always deadly Strike King Cut-R Worm in Blue Craw. In the morning, they were holding on points. But as the sun got higher and the wind picked up. (maybe 20 mph gusts at times, which isn't my favorite) they seemed to move to cover. So I could pull up on any submerged tree or bush and get into a fish. I'm beginning to wonder why I have any other Strike King patterns than Blue Craw....Whatever Strike King bait you like, I strongly encourage you add Blue Craw to your list. First time out with my new Daiwa Ballistic. An amazing spinning reel!!!!
