The bass were hitting up close to the shore on black buzzbaits and shad colored swim jigs in protected coves on the main lake. I also noticed that most of my bites came in the afternoon.

The wind has been blowing hard for the last few days. The shallow back bays protected from the wind we’re not working. There was a wind blown bank with drift wood, stumps and some rocks. I made pitches to everything giving the pit boss a few hops at each then repeating. I started picking up some large mouth. Nothing huge but, still a great day out on a tough lake.

Came out to the lake to work on using livescope that I got mounted on the kayak. Found stripers, largemouth and smallmouth cruising the channel of the lake suspended. I was able to catch a few fish on the hair jig one was a 3.75 pound smallmouth and 21 pound Striper throwing hair jig in front of them.

I was fishing blue marsh with a few buddies. We were targeting bass or stripers. I was using livescope and caught 2 fish. I was searching for roaming bait chasing fish. I ended up catching and releasing this BIG and beautiful 22 1/4" trout and I also caught a channel catfish too. It was a great day on the water!
