Went out and found small to decent size crappies in 20-25ft of water. Little jigs with wax worms seemed to work great.

The deeper pads held the bigger fish. Any missed fish I followed up with the Berkeley pit boss. Was cloudy and overcast most of the day.

Fish were aggressive towards green pumpkin colored bladed jigs with the Zako as a trailer. The trailer made a difference. Bass were up shallow, less than 4ft. Not on beds, just cruising. Flats with pad stems emerging had the most "bigger" fish. Didn't catch anything over 2.5lbs. Lots of dinks anywhere along the shoreline were after small swimbaits. It was a partly cloudy day with a light breeze. Water temp was 62 degrees.
