Fish were hitting in 14 feet of water at 3 to 5 feet deep in front of rock banks. Caught a few schooling on minnows in around 25 feet of water.

The water was very stained and the level was a little high so there were bushes in the water that normally aren't this time of year. A cold front the night before seemed to slow the bite down, but I was able to coax some reaction bites. I paralleled the bank and kept the Jackhammer just in front of the flooded bushes for most of the fish I caught. The ones that bit were INHALING the Chatterbait. I also hung a few on a Norman Speed N, but they weren't committing to it. I would get them to the boat and see they only had one side of the back hook in their mouth. The Jackhammer did the trick though!

We caught fish on a few random spots through the day. One on a spinnerbait, one on a jig, then we stumbled on the squarebill and rip rap pattern in the afternoon. We were able to duplicate the pattern by running to different stretches of rip rap, picking off a fish or two, and we made a few culls helping our overall weight.
