Black Lake has smallies in it. And now that those colder overnight temps have set in to stay, that early fall bite is on here in the PNW.

Mostly fished the south eastern shore where it's semi-natural along the bank. Fished thru sundown on a warm day. Fish in photo is biggest I've caught on that lake. Most fish hit on first two twitches.

Caught a variety of largemouth and smallies in the morning. The hair jig did alright, but it turned on a little more throwing a small trout fry streamer pattern on my fly rod. Shimmery blue silver with a big eye. Mostly edge and docks in less than 10 ft of water.
