Very fun lake to fish. Lots of fish. Mainly catch them frogging. That rod is the best Frog rod I've ever felt. It's not a medium heavy and more of a heavy extra fast which is amazing for frogs. Pair that with an Slx Xt which is an outstanding budget reel amd go to work. TIGHT LINES!

Fish your wacky rig in between reeds and let it sink and wait for your line to dart. I found best success in throwing it in between patches of reeds and that’s where I found the bass. I was catching bass between 1 pound and 4 pounds just in a small stretch of the reeds. I also had found success in the reeds that were in 4 ft of water they seemed to have the most amount of fish. I also found them throwing a frog in pads and getting big blowups and some of my bigger fish.

Big bass are on the weedlines, hanging out around bedding bluegill. Have been using my Humminbird side imaging to find bluegill beds, then dropping the aqua-vu on them to see if there are bluegill on them and the size of the bluegill. Bigger bass hang around the bigger bluegills.

Frog season has finally sprung in the north country! Most of the largemouths are done spawning, and are now holding tight to shallow cover. Docks, logs, laydowns, mats, pads, you name it: they are around it! Throw a frog around these areas and hold on tight!

Large number of concentrated bass up in the shallow growth. Most fish we found where post spawn, some where still spawing. The thickest cover held multiple fish.
