Humps
I live on the lake (north side, diagonal to BYC and boat launch). Tossing a chartreuse Mr. Twister tipped with a worm. Very slow retrieve bouncing it up the dropoff. I've been out every day for the past week...it's been pretty slow on my 180' frontage

First time at French Landing Park. Heavy fry presence. Docks were pretty loaded. Water was clear in the early day but got murky as vessels started to crop up in the afternoon. Overall extremely solid spot. Definitely a good weekday/lunch hour spot to hit up.

Shad
Skipping under trees and docks. Look for shaded areas with 3-6ft of water. In the morning you can look for more open areas with rocks, but once the sun comes up go straight for shade and you will catch the bass.

Poked into the little cracks and dropouts by the dam mouth, and this guy just slammed it.

It was back to the basics today. I spoke with someone at the dock as I was getting off the water and I wasn't the only one experiencing a slow bite. The guy I talked to said it best: "The weather is just too good today". As for fishing, I mostly stayed on the west side of the lake and even fished the Huron river at one point. After trying a few things I ended up using the classic texas rig most of the day. Black and blue is what I stuck with mostly and I was able to get a few bass in the boat in the time I was out there. The bass seemed to like to hang out in the 5-7ft range for most of the morning. I also got to try out my new Pfluger Patriarch that I got from the sale Omnia had. I'm really impressed by how smooth and secure the reel feels in hand.
