Sunfish were popping early in the morning and relating to the outside weed edges. Bass were in and out of these weeds chasing them. Dragged a texas rig through the edges and a smaller finesse jig. Lots of numbers with a few better fish mixed in. Water clarity was pretty dirty.

Fish were very finicky but we found a few including a 4.8 pounder. All the fish we caught were on deep rocks in 10 to 13 feet of water.

Fish are up shallow feeding before winter. Look for them in 5 feet or less covering water with chatter baits or slow it down to a ned rig and micro jig.

Very impressed with the 12lb Shimano Mastiff fluorocarbon! Casts so smooth, ties great knots and holds up fish after fish. The Mustad Alpha finesse hooks have impressed as well. The Alpha paired with the General worked as a great follow up bait for the bass that missed the chatterbait. Effortless hook sets and after 8 fish, the hook is still razor sharp. Bass were found on the weed line in 5-8ft.Also found some around the shoreline. Chatterbait was the ticket and the fish were crushing it.
