We started the morning fishing the shad spawn on rip rap and marina docks. Once the sun got up and the shad stopped spawning we moved up shallow to look for spawning fish. The water was too dirty to sight fish so we threw a shaky head up shallow and caught a few. Later in the afternoon, we caught some post-spawn fish on points near the mouths of spawning coves.
