Found some smallies out off main lake points in-between 20-25 feet. Bait was packed so thick my blade would come back with shad hooked quite often. Find the bait and find the fish. Quick pops off the bottom with a 1/2 blade bait was the ticket. Even caught a few yellow perch.

Actually was looking to see if the smallmouth pulled out a little deeper but found an awesome crappie pattern. The middle and south pool had them stacked thick on those secondary points in the fingers. That first big depth change in about the 15ft range. Caught vertically jigging a rapala ice jig in shad patrerns.

Water temp around the lake is in the mid to low 60's and with this next week of cool weather things are about to get really good really soon! Was out on 10/7/2020 and fished the south and middle pool. the bass, large and smallmouth were either up on flats heading pack into the creek arms or on that first hard depth change. It is a timing thing as to when they are up, if they are there you will know it quick. In the next couple weeks the bite should really open up!

Found several fish out off of main lake points on weed lines in 10-12 feet. Bait of choice was a suspending jerk bait or keitech swimbait. Mid day once the sun got up around noon was when the bite turned on. Lake is still a little warm for them to move back in the creeks. Look at the first depth change outside of the arms with grass.

The bass are staging up for the fall and heading into Winter. The water is just starting to cool down. The bite was not aggressive and you had to pay attention and feel for the tick. It was a slow cadence of 2 jerks and a long pause. Start reeling for a couple of handle turns and then 3 jerks with a pause. You may feel a very slight tick or the rod would just load up when you started reeling again. The megabass hooks and amazing and super sticky.

Moved to South Pool and put in, water was gin clear and 66 degrees, grass was very prevalent throughout the pool, caught several shorts on Strike King KVD 200 jerkbait over the grass. Moved to middle pool, mix of clear to stained water, 66-67 degrees, caught fish on same jerkbait and a Rapala DT 6 on rip rap. THere were lots of bait balls of shad throughout the lake. Mixed bag of green and brown fish.
