Seem to be most active on the shoreline, hyacinth is clogging up making it less desirable. Not committing to bigger baits, nailing 4 inch consistently...specifically straight black

Slow down the retrieve and go weightless. Texas rigged Yum 4 inch Dingers are getting majority of strikes. 5 inch stickbaits working well texas or wacky. Get out the day before a front for solid action. The days after a front expect cloudy darker water with low strikes and a change in color selection. Soft plastics getting most results.

Sporadic bites between fronts. Best when pressure fluctuates rapidly before a front. Paddletails....3 inch...are also getting strikes.

Nabbed this pretty gal and 8 others pre-hurricane Milton. Most were on the edges, the bigger ones in cove type areas. Good luck!

It's been a tough couple a weeks with scattered bites. They started picking back up with the full moon coming this weekend. So get out there and slam em!

The Fall festival seems to be beginning! 8 in last 2 short outings, most coming off the edges. This 23 inch fat mama was hiding in about 2.5 ft. I would highly suggest Black, Black/Blue, or a darker Green Pumpkin Stick.

Can;t find too many spawners yet but some are mixed in around the never ending tilapia beds. Bigger fish are showing up more often, finally .Soft plastics getting the vast majority of response, particularly GP and Watermelon red/blk. 1/16 oz bullet is all you need to manage the water column if you chose not to go weightless. Should be a super solid March. Get some Ocho's, and some Tricks and lay it on em!

New Moon brought sporadic action. LMBs seem to be tight to shoreline vegetation or deep under shade. Recent rains now are pushing the clarity to nil, so straight black has produced the best overall results, specifically a Trick Worm weightless Texas. The crack of dawn strangely has been tough with many bites coming around 730-930.
