We began fishing shallower water (10-12ft) and found nothing. We then moved to deeper water (30-40 ft) and found nothing. Eventually, we found a pocket of bass somewhere between the deeper and shallower water on a ledge. We didn't find many large fish, but we caught several largemouth dragging a dropshot up steep ledges. Move the bait extra slow and keep your line tight. Either a slow drag or slow turn of the handle. If you don't get bit in a few casts, move on. The fish we found were in a very specific 20 yard area with most being concentrated in a smaller area. A dropshot bait like the Netbait crush worm in the Jr size is a great option for a slow moving dropshot. You don't have to impart any action for it to look alive.

Cold water moved the fish to the deepest water available. Only had a couple takes in the short time we were there. Concentrate on areas where the water is at it max depth and move your baits slowly. We focused on small swimbaits and dropshot. We did try some reactions baits including jerkbaits, but the fish seemed to be bottom oriented.

Bass were located in deeper water at around 40-45', and schooled up near humps. Bass were caught deadsticking, and very slowly dragging a hazedong shad about 12-16" above the weight. Bites were extremely light making a very sensitive rod a must.
