A lot of small bites on the wacky rig in 5-7ft of water around rocks and ledges. There were bigger bites using the Nessie glide baits/swimbaits in both the 5” and 7”. I started with the 5” and had plenty of bites. I figured I’d upsize and try to draw some larger fish up and it worked. I had two large bites and one take on the 7” raw Nessie

Fishing the Charles around BU, Kenmore and Back Bay. Despite the colder temps this week fish were still up shallow and relatively active. I Found fish on all sorts of hard cover and structure. The key seemed to be getting as tight to cover as possible with the spinnerbait. When the spinnerbait bite slowed flipping the finesse jig around these same types of cover generated a couple extra bites. Hoping this bite stays alive a bit longer.

Change in weather from the storm front really pushed the forage to the deeper points of middle basin. The largemouth where very lethargic. They wanted the finesse slammer very still. Managed to catch a limit with the average fish between the 2 to 2 1/2 pound average. Managed to catch the largest bass of the day 3lber north pond in 5-10 feet of water in the remaining vegetation left. He was caught on a strike king coffee tube in green pumpkin purple. The forage in that area was predominantly bluegill.
