The weather is crazy and the main body was just too crazy this day, so I walked up and spent a couple hours at Avery's Pond, just above Rattlesnake Bar. What a gem! I was casting out to the middle and slowly popping the Strike King Game Hawg back to the shoreline. Beautiful day out there! Thank you Strike King! Lots of schools out there finding the right ones is the key, keep moving till you land on them. Also go fish on LV 500, underspins and the dropshot. Rotated 6 mid lake spots.

A-rigs, jigs, shakey heads and drop shot are all working. Bite has slowed down in the past couple weeks and the large schools of bait have nearly all disappeared. We caught more small fish than keepers.

Wind: calm to maybe a few mph as there were times there was slight chop. Air Temp: 27-62 degrees. Water Temp: 57-62 likely 63 in some shallow areas Water Clarity: 10-15' Areas targeted: Backs of creek arms, shallow pockets, main lake islands and ledges. 0-30' I started the morning by running places up river where I have traditionally done well. That did not pan out so I ran down to the main lake and fished islands with jigs and a rigs. Caught trout on the a-rig so switched to jig and got the first largemouth. Moved to a point and scoped a fish over brush. Ran to some other points and didn't get bit. Ran to back of creek arm pockets and got largest on the neko. Ran to a ledge that usually produces and cranked one on the OSP and got one on the Hayabusa jig. 5 bites 5 fish not including the trout. Tough... But 3 largemouth and 2 spots so I can't complain.

Shakey head with a Yamamoto stretch 40 grub, Yamamoto creature bait on a Texas rig, zoom flukes and a-rigs are all working right now. Find the bait busting the surface and you’ll find the bass. Both smallmouth and largemouth.
