The weather broke just enough for me to be willing to go out on the lake. The water is stained and the water temp by the damn was pushing towards 55 late in the day. I fished around main lake points to start of with. I was throwing a Carolina rig with a 18” leader dragging a 3/4 oz. tungsten bullet weight and a 1/0 vmc EWG and a zoom speed craw in watermelon red. I fished it slow and fished it for most of the day and only managed 5 fish for a 12 lb bag. Once the clouds moved in I headed to the dam to throw crankbaits up against riprap. It was the right move. I was paralleling the bank and I was fishing a 5 xd in sexy shad banging it off the rock and the bass were slack lining me. It was an awesome way to end the day.
